3. How we use data

  • To provide the learning platform and track your child's progress
  • To personalise maths questions based on your child's interests and level
  • To display progress analytics on the parent dashboard
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To send essential account emails (confirmation, password reset)

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. AI-generated questions

Mathsonaut uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to generate personalised maths questions. When generating a question, we send:

  • The topic name and description

  • Your child's selected interests (e.g. "dinosaurs")
  • Previous questions in the session (to avoid repetition)

We do not send your child's name, date of birth, or any other personally identifiable information to the AI provider. Anthropic processes this data under their data processing terms and does not use it to train models.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Mathsonaut:

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tools.

6. Children's privacy

Mathsonaut is designed for children aged 4–10, used under parental supervision. We take children's privacy seriously:

  • Only a parent or legal guardian can create an account and add child profiles
  • We collect the minimum data needed to provide the learning experience
  • Children cannot contact other users, post content, or share personal information
  • We do not serve advertisements to children
  • We do not create publicly visible profiles

  • Legitimate interest — to maintain security and improve the service
